Aravind Eye Hospital – Peelamedu, Coimbatore

In response to the increasing demand for eye care from patients in the north western part of Tamil Nadu, Aravind opened its hospital at Coimbatore in 1997. It is situated very close to the bordering states, Kerala and Karnataka. The hospital has facilities to accommodate 170 paying patients and 450 free patients.  It is an accredited teaching institution.

In the year ending March 2019, Aravind – Coimbatore handled around 748,000 outpatient visits and performed around 102,420 surgeries.
