Best Corporation (P) Limited (BCPL) is one of the pioneers in the manufacturing of knitted garments at Tirupur, India. BCPL is an integrated textile company having operations from spinning to garmenting. Established in the year 1967 with 25 machines, it has grown steadily over the years and is today a USD $125 million enterprise. BCPL employs about 10,000 people and is one of the leading exporters of knitted garments from Tirupur. BCPL produces knitted garments for Men, Women, Teeners, Schoolers and Toddlers for the world market and specialises in Underwear and Baby wear.

BCPL also sells ring spun yarn & finished fabric from 20’s NE to 60’s NE to the domestic and export market.

BCPL’s operations are managed by Mr. R. Rajkumar, Managing Director and Mr. R. Dhanapal, Joint Managing Director under the guidance from BEST S.Ramasamy, Chairman of Best Corporation (P) Limited.

Operations

BCPL’s operations are segregated as below:

Spinning & Knitting

BCPL owns two spinning mills with an installed capacity of 95,400 spindles. Both the spinning mills are located within an hour drive from Tirupur. They are equipped with the latest state of the art machines delivering world class quality yarns. Knitting is part of the spinning mill producing single jersey and double jersey fabrics.

Fabric Processing

A modern dye house capable of processing 8 tonnes /day of knitted fabric is situated at an industrial park near Tirupur. It is equipped with a sophisticated laboratory. About 85% of water used is recovered and re-cycled using state of the art effluent treatment plant.

Garmenting

Entire garment manufacturing is in-house and is manufactured in three plants with 3000 machines. Embroidery and transfer printing are part of the garment units. Modern technologies like CAD / CAM are used extensively in our sewing units.

Accessories

BCPL also manufactures elastic tapes for its requirements and also sells to domestic market under the brand ‘Ivy Tapes’.

Windmill

64 wind turbine generators having a capacity of 36 MW are installed to cater to the energy requirements of the company.
